ABOUT US: CHAPTER AND VERSELocated in the city of Poona, Chapter and Verse is a unique bookstore that stocks rare books & new books and more. It was conceived by a book collector - Arvind Gordhandas - and is now managed by his wife Manjari A. Gordhandas.
Arvind Gordhandas was a behavioural psychologist. He is the author of 'Wanted Employer on Probation' : a satire on Indian organisational practise. He trained in General and Social Psychology from Bombay University, and Industrial Psychology from London. He was a poet and wrote in English and Gujarati. His First book of selected poems "Simmering Feelings" published in September 2000. His other poetry books published from time to time are: "Lines Inspired by The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam" (published in 2003), - "Leaf and God' (2005), - "Dice" (2007), - & "Father........My Father" (2009) Chapter and Verse is a unique book shop. Why is that so? Our book shop has custom designed shelves, serious reading material on a host of subjects including literature, travel, history, philosophy, religion and cookery. Fully air-conditioned, we provide you with comfortable sofas to relax on while browsing. We have now few books belong to the RARE category. Remaining books are mainly new Management books, Fiction, Non-Fictions are available. . Staff members, Ms. Anita and Mr. Sanjay assist you in your book-search.
